Pertamina EP spuds RNT-41NJ well at Rantau field

PT Pertamina EP, the upstream unit of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, spudded the RNT-41NJ well at the Rantau Field, in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh, last week.
The company said in a statement Thursday that the well was drilled with the Skytop rig owned by PT Pertamina Drilling Service Indonesia (PDSI) in a 24-day drilling program to reach a final depth of 666 mTVD (meter True Vertical Deep).
The objective of the drilling is as EOR injection well at the Z-600 layer with estimated injection rate target of 600 BOPD.
?The drilling of the RNT-41NJ well is part of efforts by PT Pertamina EP to continue increase production organically through a number of innovations,? the company said.
