PT Pertamina EP, an upstream unit of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina, conducted on Tuesday spudding of Tapah-1 well in Sangatta field, East Kalimantan.

The drilling of Tapah-1 well was initially rescheduled from June 28 to July 5 but was further delayed as the rig preparations took longer than anticipated.

Pertamina EP has also continued drilling activities in other wells. ?Drilling of JKL-2 (Indramayu, West Java) had been finalized on June 4. Gas and condensate were found during its DST-1 and 2 (Drill Stem Test). From DST-3 up to DST-6 only water was found,? Pertamina EP Exploration Vice President Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He said that the PMT-4 (Pemaat) well in Pagardewa, Prabumulih, South Sumatera was undergoing DST-1 and so far there had been no indication of hydrocarbon. ?In TBR-3 well (Tiang Biru in Cepu, Central and East Java), we?re dealing with loss circulation. CKR-2 (Cikarang in Bekasi, West Java) is being drilled. ASB-1 (onshore West Java) and TSM-5 (Tasim in South Sumatra) wells are under preparation of logging,? he said.
