Pertamina EP spuds TBD-1 well

PT Pertamina EP spudded Tambun Deep (TBD)-1 exploration well located at the Cluster H of existing Tambun field in Kedung Pengawas village, Bekasi, on December 31, 2012.
The drilling will reach basement layer as a new reservoir that is estimated to contain reserves of 4 million barrels of oil, said VP Exploration Nanang Abdul Manaf.
The drilling will be conducted until it reaches 3,900m in depth. It is expected to take 82 days, plus another 41 compression days.
He said the drilling is using BOP and Generinger rotating technology, among others.
The company targets to drill 28 exploration wells this year.
Also this year, 2D seismic survey activities are targeted to cover 817 km, while 3D 1,488 km2. Pertamina will also carry out a total of 6 studies in 2013.
