Pertamina EP stops leaks at oil pipeline in Indramayu

Pertamina EP managed on Wednesday to stop leaks at an oil pipeline in Amis Village, Cikedung District, Indramayu Regency, West Java, following reports from the public.

The company said in a statement Wednesday that the leak was probably caused by a crack, and that a pipe clamp has been installed to fix it.

Pertamina EP said that the oil leak had caused a man riding a motorcycle to fall, and triggered fire. The man, who suffered burns has been treated at the local hospital. The fire also affected a small part of a nearby sugarcane plantation. The company is currently estimating the losses from the accident.
