Pertamina EP strikes oil, gas in Tiung Biru and Lavatera fields

PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) said it strikes oil and gas in Tiung Biru field within Cepu Block onshore East Java as well as in Lavatera field in Prabumulih, South Sumatera.
?The testing of the Lavatera-1 well in Prabumulih, South Sumatera indicates gas production of 4 mmsfd (choke 48/64). In Tiung Biru-2 well within Cepu block, the testing result also indicates oil and gas reserves,? S. Manaf, Director for Operational of Pertamina EP told Petromindo.com.
The drilling of the wells is part of the company?s exploration activities set for this year. Earlier, Pertamina EP sets its year 2012 total expenditures, for both capital and operating expenditures, at US$3.12 billion.
The spending will be allocated for explorations, exploitations, production activities and general administration.
Manaf said so far this year, the company has drilled 11 exploration wells. The wells are as follows:
