Pertamina EP takes over Babat-Kukui field

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has taken over the operatorship of the Babat-Kukui oil field in Jambi from TAC PT Babat Kukui Energy after the latter?s technical assistance contract (TAC) with Pertamina ended in July.
PEP said in a statement Monday that the Babat-Kukui field would be managed by its Ramba Field operation unit.
The company said that production at the Babat-Kukui field currently stands at 700-1,000 bopd. ?It is the responsibility of Ramba Field to sustain the production, and increase it if possible,? it said in the statement.
