Pertamina EP takes over S. Sumatra oil fields ops

Pertamina EP, an upstream subsidiary of state oil, gas company PT.Pertamina has taken over operations of Abab, Dewa, raja oil fields onshore South Sumatra following the expiry of joint operating body (JOB) contract with Lekom Maras, a company official said.
Lekom Maras is a unit of IDX-listed firm PT.Ratu Prabu Energi Tbk.
Spokesperson Mohammad Harun said that the take over was effective on April 23, 2009.
The fields, according to Harun, currently produce 1,350 barrels of oil per day.(bernard)
