Pertamina EP to complete Pondok Makmur first phase development

The company said that it had spent 76 days of the planned 90 days in the drilling of the new well PDM 09. There was an indication that the well contained oil reserves but the company would need more time to evaluate the potential reserve in the well.
The drilling of the PDM09 well is part of the first phase of the plan of development (POD) for the Pondok Makmur field which has been approved by oil and gas upstream regulatory body BPMIGAS.
PT Pertamina EP said that it would drill one more well called PDM 10 well as soon as the drilling of the PDM09 well has been completed.
The company?s general manager for the Pondok Makmur field Indra Prasetia said that the first phase of the project was scheduled for completion by the end of the first half of this year. He said the Pondok Makmur field holds oil and gas reserves of about 14 million barrels of oil and 38 billion cubic feet of gas.
Meanwhile, Manager operation, Heri Budiarso said that POD for second phase in under study and it scheduled to be submitted to BPMIGAS in April this year. (giok)
