Pertamina EP to conduct 3D seismic in Lampung

PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina, is planning to carry out 3D seismic activities in Lampung Block. In order to realize the plan, the company is seeking support from Lampung Governor in carrying out ?socialization program? ahead of the seismic activities.

Pertamina EP is also approaching Sugar Group because certain areas of the planned seismic activities are overlapping with Sugar Group land.

?I have met with Lampung Governor (Sjachroedin ZP) to seek support for the 3D seismic activities in Lampung because certain part of the seismic area overlaps with land of Sugar Group,? Communication Manager of Pertamina EP, Agus Amperianto told Petromindo.com

Agus said the target seismic area has potentials oil reserves, therefore the exploration of the area would benefit the people of Lampung region as well.

In addition, officials of Pertamina EP have also met with Musi Rawas Regent to report about the progress of MSB-A1 drilling program in Pendopo field, Lampung. Based on the preliminary observation, there is indication of ?significant? volume of oil at Gumay formation, he said.
