PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of oil and gas company PT Pertamina, will install new pipes at particular sections of the pipeline network in North Sumatera and South Sumatera projects, a company official said.
?Pertamina EP plans to replace or revitalize certain sections of the pipeline network, connecting Rantau and Pangkalan Susu in North Sumatera as well as Prabumulih and Plaju in South Sumatera,? Bagus Sudaryanto, Director for Operation of Pertamina EP, told Petromindo.com.
The installation of new pipes will be carried out this year. ?Currently, we are preparing engineering design and tender documents,? he said.
The installation of new pipes will have no impact on company?s operation as the existing pipeline will operate normally until new pipeline is completed, which would take about six to eight months.
