Pertamina EP to quickly repair dock in Siak after hit by tanker

PT Pertamina EP aims to quickly repair the Buatan dock in Gasib sub district, Siak Regency, Riau, which was badly hit by Intan Daya 9 Batam tanker on Monday to resume crude delivery made via the facility.
The company said in a statement obtained Wednesday it has also installed slickbar to help prevent oil leaks to the water.
No human casualties from the incident as the port was empty at the time, but several facilities were damaged, hampering the shipment of crude from the Lirik field to the Sei Pakning refinery, Pertamina EP said.
The dock facility is also used to store crude from several producers in cooperation with PT Pertamina including PT Pertamina EP Lirik, PT Medco Lirik, PT Tonga Medan, and PT SPE Rohul.
