PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, is scheduled to spud the Albatros Putih (ABP-1) well in Cepu Field, located in Tuban Regency, East Java Province, at the end of October, after the company encountered dry hole in the recent drilling of the Tapen-02 well, according to an official of the firm.
?Target of next drilling is an exploration well in the district of Kenduruan Duain Jamprong, in Tuban regency, named the Albatros Putih (ABP-1) well. The schedule for the spudding will be in late October, depending on the readiness of the location,? Cepu Field Manager Agus Amperianto told Petromindo.com.
Last week, the company reported that it did not find indications of hydrocarbon reserves in the recent drilling of the Tapen-02 well, so it abandoned the well. PEP began the drilling program in the well with total depth of up to 2,700 meters in July.
