Pertamina EP unveils progress of seismic, drilling programs

PT Pertamina EP, an upstream subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has completed a total of 260 km 2D and 1,807 km2 3D seismic works in the 9 months period of 2014.

Muhammad Baron, Public Relations Manager of PT Pertamina EP told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the company was expected to complete a total of 2,125 km2 3D seismic until the end of the year.

Elsewhere, Baron revealed that in the third quarter of 2014 the company's oil production reached 117,542 BOPD and gas output 1,032 mmscfd.

As of end of September, the company has completed drilling six exploration wells, out of the target to drill 11 exploration wells this year, he said.

''For the development wells, we have already completed (drilling) about 65 wells, and is expected to have 99 wells by the year?s end." he said.
