Pertamina EP ups N. Sumatra oil production

PT Pertamina EP has managed to increase production from its Rantau oil field in North Sumatra from 2,200 per day last year to 3,400 BPD currently due to success in development drilling program.

Spokesperson M. Harun told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday that the success to increase production by more than 50 percent in the old field was also due to various improvements undertaken by the Company.

The field?s newest well P-399 has been able to produce 550 BPD, exceeding target of 160 BPD.

Pertamina EP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero). (alex)
