PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of sate owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, is currently waiting for an approval from the interim upstream authority SK MIGAS to implement its enhanced oil recovery (EOR) project in Tanjung field, South Sumatra.
?We?re waiting for SK MIGAS to approve our EOR project in Tanjung, South Sumatra,? PT Pertamina EP Development Director Doddy Priambodo told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Friday.
He said that the EOR project aim to raise oil production from mature fields. SK MIGAS had asked that the chemical property was stable for at least two months.
PEP earlier said it planned to carry out the EOR program in two fields, namely Tanjung and Kaji-Semoga, this year. The firm said it would run the program first at Tanjung, and then at Kaji-Semoga. Both are part of the three EOR projects scheduled to be implemented this year. The other EOR project is to be implemented by PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia at Minas field in Riau.
