Pertamina expands overseas markets

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina is increasing its international presence by expanding its overseas markets including with the recent launch of its new oil fuel brand called Pertamax Turbo in Europe.

Pertamina Marketing and Commercial Director Ahmad Bambang told Petromindo.com that the Pertamax Turbo has entered the European markets since mid-March including Italy, Germany, UK, and France. ?Pertamax Turbo is undergoing market test for three months in Europe including Italy, Germany, UK, and France. If the response is good, we?ll further expand to Spain, and also bring the product to Indonesia (market),? he said.

Achmad said that Pertamina is also expanding overseas markets for its lubricant products into Indo China, Australia, India and Africa. He added that the company is also seeking to develop fuel stations in Myanmar, Cambodia, and Timor Leste.

He added the company in the future will set up marketing, or representative offices overseas to help administer marketing operations.
