Pertamina expects govt to award 2 new PSCs in December

State owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) expects the government to award two offshore blocks namely Abar PSC and Anggursi PSC to the firm in December this year, according to a senior official of the firm.

The two blocks were offered through direct offer mechanism and under Government Regulation No. 35/2004, Pertamina holds right to ask for certain oil and gas blocks.

"We completed a joint study in both Albar and Anggursi blocks last year and the blocks were mentioned by the directorate general of oil and gas in the tender announcement in the middle of this year. We expect the signing of both PSCs can be done in December,? Vice President for Upstream Business Development Denie S. Tampubolon said in Jakarta.

Abar block is located offshore Jakarta and West Java, meanwhile Anggursi block in offshore West and Central Java.
