State owned oil and gas company Pertamina and its production sharing contractor Exspan is seeking the possibility of selling their natural gas from the Senoro block, Toili, Southeast Sulawesi to the Western Coast of the United States.

Pertamina?s director for upstream operation Iin Arifin Tkhyan said in Jakarta over the weekend that the West Coast is one of the potential markets for the Senoro block, which has proven gas reserves of more than 4 trillion cubic feet.

The 1.07 trillion cubic feet of proven gas reserves found at the Senoro Block-3 recently has significantly raised the gas reserves at the Senoro block area which comprises Senoro Block-1, Senoro Block-2, Senoro Block-3 and Senoro Block-4.

According to Iin, the gas deposit at the Senoro Block-1 and Senoro Block-2 reached about 2.92 trillion cubic feet. "In August this year, the company will carry out drilling works at the Senoro Block-4. The exploration is expected to further increase gas reserves," he added.

From the drilling works of the Senoro Block-3 which reached the depth of 2,280 meter, Exspan has found condensate of about 237 barrels per day, and 21 million cubic feet of gas per day, he said.(*)
