Pertamina extends gas supply contract to Muara Tawar

PT Pertamina EP, an upstream arm of state oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) said it has extended gas supply contract for Muara Tawar power plant in Bekasi, West Java for another 2 years.

CEO Nanang Abdul Manaf told Petromindo.Com on Monday that under the extended contract which started April this year, Pertamina EP will supply 20 BBTUD of gas from its Cikarang and Tambun fields to Muara tawar power plant.

Muara Tawar power plant is owned by state electricity firm PT PLN (Persero).

Earlier, PLN?s Head of Fuel and Gas procurement Chairani Rachmatullah told Petromindo.Com that PLN has decided not to extend 100 BBTUD of gas supply contract with state gas distribution firm PT PGN (Persero) Tbk and has turned Muara Tawar into peaker power plant banking on gas and CNG supply from Pertamina EP.
