Pertamina extends gas supply from ONWJ to PGN

Upstream oil, gas regulatory body BPMIGAS has approved the extension of the contract on gas supply from the Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) block to state gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) (PGN) by another six months until June 2011.

The oil and gas block is owned by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), an upstream unit of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero)

PHE ONWJ's president director Ignatius Tenny Wibowo told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday that under the contract extension, ONWJ supplied 10 BBTU per day to PGN starting this month.

PGN Corporate Secretary Wahid Sutopo confirmed the deal, adding that the earlier contract expired on Dec. 31, 2010.

But he did not give the gas price of the deal. (bernard)
