Pertamina, Exxon carry out join study in Papua-PNG borders

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina and American firm ExxonMobil are carrying out a joint study in an onshore area bordering Papua New Guinea (PNG), an industrial source said.

The area is believed to be rich with hydrocarbon resources as Exxon has made discovery on the other side of the area in PNG, according to the source.
