Pertamina eyeing Iran offshore exploration block

State oil and gas company PT. Pertamina is eyeing an exploration block in Iran.
Upstream Director Sukusen Soemarinda told reporters on Monday that it and an undisclosed partner will bid for Laleh Block, offshore Persian Gulf.
According to National Iranian Oil Company website, the block was one of the blocks the company offered in 2007. According to the website, winner of the block will be required to spend a minimum on 37 million Euro on the block.
Pertamina with partner German oil firm Wintershall AG, wich is a unit of chemical giant BASF, had recently been awarded an exploration block in Qatar. (godang)
