Pertamina eyes 32,000 bopd additional production

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina targets to increase oil production by 32,000 bopd from its planned acquisition of producing oil and gas blocks, both domestic and overseas, until the year-end.

Pertamina is targeting to acquire 5 oil and gas projects until the end of the year.

?The planned production increase is a significant boost in the short term to help the government ensures national energy security. Talks with potential firms on-goind and we expect the acquisition could materialize before the year ends,? President Director Karen Agustiawan said.

Karen specifically mentioned the firm?s intention to take over blocks that are already in production so that Pertamina could benefit from it immediately.
