After entering Vietnam exploration deal, state oil and gas firm Pertamina is seeking for more in Myanmar and Malaysia.
Pertamina?s upstream director Iin Arifin Takhyan told reporters Tuesday that currently it was in negotiation with Myanmar authority to acquire offshore exploration block and hoped to be able to close the deal this year.
Iin added that Pertamina, together with Malaysia?s Petronas and Vietnam?s state oil and gas firm PetroVietnam, would soon study the possibility of undertaking joint exploration in SK305 exploration block offshore Malaysia?s island of Borneo.
Iin said the block was offered by Malaysia as part of joint exploration deal between the three state oil and gas firms. (godang)
