Pertamina eyes new exploration blocks

State oil and gas company Pertamina is seeking to get two exploration acreages next year, a company executive said.

?We are going to apply to get exploration blocks in South Sumatra and in Central Sulawesi near Donggi block, where Pertamina had discovered significant amount of gas. Hopefully, we can clinch deal with the government next year,? said upstream director Iin Arifin Takhyan.

Iin said Pertamina is proposing cooperation scheme to explore the block with the split of 60 percent to the government. (alex)
