Tuesday, September 17 2002 - 01:38 PM WIB

State oil and gas company Pertamina said on Tuesday that it was still in talk with Singapore?s Keppel Group to supply 100 million standard cubic feet per day (MMCFD) of natural gas from its gas fields in South Sumatra to Singapore.

?We are still in negotiation over several matters, particularly on the price of the gas,? said Eteng Salam, Pertamina?s deputy director upstream.

Eteng said Keppel is seeking for 100 MMCFD of gas starting 2005.

He said if the deal is closed, the gas would be delivered through PGN?s pipeline that is currently being constructed and would become operational late next year. (alex)
