Pertamina focuses 2003 exploration drilling in Central Sulawesi

State oil and gas company Pertamina will focus its 2003 exploration drilling in prolific area of Central Sulawesi by drilling up to 10 exploration wells in Donggi block, where it had earlier discovered large reserves of natural gas.

"The focus for this year's exploration drilling is in Donggi. Then four exploration wells will be drilled in Java and one in Sumatra," said Lukman Kartenegara, Pertamina's senior manager new ventures.

In 2003, Pertamina also plans to conduct 1,852 km 2D seismic survey, 605 km 3D seismic and 68 development drillings with expected reserves addition of 118 MMBO and 3.63 TCF of gas. Crude and gas production are targeted at 113,000 BOPD and 904 MMCFD.
