Pertamina further lowers fuel prices for industry by up to 2.6 percent

State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina cut retail prices for several non-subsidized fuels for industry by up to 2.6 percent beginning Feb. 15, 2008

Pertamina said in Jakarta Thursday that the company?s move to lower the retail prices for fuels compared to Feb. 1 prices was in line with the decreasing Means of Platts Singapore (MOPS) around 0.5 percent and 2.58 percent and the strengthening rupiah.

Prices for premium gasoline has been lowered by 1.1 percent to Rp 7,406.18 (1US$= Rp 9,217) per liter, kerosene by 2.3 percent to Rp 7,715.17 per liter, high-speed diesel (HSD) by 2.5 percent to Rp 7,679.0 per liter, marine diesel fuel (MDF) by 2.5 percent to Rp 7,482.67 per liter and marine fuel oil (MFO) by 2.6 percent to Rp5,243.54 per liter.

Meanwhile, the price for Pertamina Dex has also been lowered by 2.2 percent to Rp 8,216.74 per liter.

The firm keeps the prices of Premium gasoline at Rp 4,500 per liter and HSD Rp 4,300 per liter for public transportation. Price for subsidized kerosene for household and small industry is maintained at Rp. 2,000 per liter. (denny)
