Pertamina, Garuda sign global cooperation

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) signed on Monday a Heads of Agreement (HoA) with state-owned airline Garuda Indonesia allowing the firms to jointly utilize their respective assets to promote their businesses as part of their global partnership strategy.

The HoA was signed by Pertamina?s President Director Dwi Soetjipto and Garuda?s President Director Arif Wibowo in the presence of Minister of State Enterprises Rini Soemarno, Pertamina said in a statement.

Under the HoA, Garuda will be allowed to use the Pondok Cabe airport in Tangerang Selatan Regency, Banten Province, owned by Pertamina?s aviation subsidiary PT Pelita Air Service. Garuda will cooperate in the sales of aviation turbine fuels and other products of Pertamina, such as biofuel, lubricants. Furthermore, both firms will work together in providing aviation services, promotion and taking benefits from their respective customer networks.
