Pertamina Geothermal CEO submits resignation

Geothermal developer PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) has received the resignation of its president director, Julfi Hadi, according to a company disclosure submitted to Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK).
PGE said it received Julfi’s resignation letter dated 25 November 2025. Under OJK Regulation 33/2014, the company must convene a general meeting of shareholders within 90 calendar days to decide on the resignation.
Julfi was appointed president director in June 2023. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geology from the University of Texas at El Paso and has more than 35 years of experience in the geothermal industry.
His early career included exploration geology roles at Amoseas Indonesia, followed by senior positions across multiple geothermal developers. He worked on major Indonesian geothermal projects such as Wayang Windu Unit 2 (110 MW) and Darajat Unit 3 (110 MW).

Julfi previously served as senior manager at Magma Nusantara Limited, vice president for exploration and subsurface engineering at PT Supreme Energy, and managing director at Hitay Energy Holdings. He later joined Medco Power Indonesia as senior vice president for geothermal and became president director of PT Medco Cahaya Geothermal.
In 2020 he became a director at Sarulla Operations Ltd, operator of one of the world’s largest geothermal power plants in North Sumatra, before being appointed to lead PGE in 2023.
