State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) has received permit from the Directorate General of Oil and Gas to open data room on the Sanga Sanga block in East Kalimantan.

This was said by Vice President for Upstream Business Development at Pertamina, Denie S. Tampubolon to Petromindo.com.

"After the Mahakam and ONWJ blocks have been signed, so now we will focus on the Sanga Sanga block," he said.

The block is now operated by PT Vico Indonesia, whose contract is set to expire in 2018. Pertamina is planning to takeover the asset once the contract expires.
