The government will give priority to state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina to takeover oil and gas blocks whose contracts have expired including the Mahakam Block, said Director General of Oil and Gas Evita Legowo.

?For oil and gas blocks whose contracts have expired, Pertamina will be given the priority to make a bid,? she told Petromindo.com on Monday.

Evita said that in deciding which oil and gas blocks to be prioritized for Pertamina, the government will consider the company?s funding and technology capacity.
