Unlike Premium price, the prices of other fuel would be reduced in line with the downward trend in the price of oil in the international market. But the drop will be less than the average three percent fall in the price of oil in the world market in July.
Tuty Anggrahini, the deputy director of Pertamina?s commercial and marketing department, said over the weekend that the price of Premium fuel could not be lowered than the present level of Rp 1,750 per liter because the average gasoline price in the international market based on price indicator issued under Mid Oil Platts Singapore (MOPS) and the fluctuation of rupiah against the U.S. dollar dropped only to Rp 1,730 per liter.
Except for Premium, Pertamina is likely to cut the price to Rp 1,250 and Rp 1,300 per liter for kerosene from Rp 1,320, to Rp 1,250 and Rp 1,300 per liter for diesel oil from Rp 1,350 and to Rp 1,000 and Rp 1,090 for bunker fuel from Rp 1,110. (*)
