Pertamina hopes Arun FID decided in September

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina hopes the final investment decision (FID) for the revitalization of Arun liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Nangroe Aceh Darussalam province will be decided in September this year.

Pertamina Vice President for Gas and Engineering, Daniel Purba, said that currently, Pertamina was conducting the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender for the project.

"Hopefully, the FID for Arun can be finalized in September. Now, we?re conducting tender of EPC for the project,? he said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Daniel pointed out that there were 4 companies participating in the tender. They are Rekayasa Industri, Japan Gas Corp, IKPT, and Wijaya Karya.

He added that the FEED for Arun-Belawan pipeline and its gas allocation were still under discussions. ?It?s still in a process of pre-FEED. It?s done by ITB," he said.
