Pertamina Hulu to drill 14 CBM wells in 2012

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina,with its partners will drill a total of 14 coal bed methane (CBM) wells in two CBM projects this year, company President Director Salis Aprilian said.

Aprilian told Petromindo.com that seven CBM wells will be drilled in Sangatta CBM project in East Kalimantan. These wells will be called STCBM 1, STCBM 2, STCBM 3, STCBM4, STCBM 4, STCBM 5, STCBM 5, STCBM, 6 and STCBM 7.

The other seven wells will be drilled in Muara Enim I & II CBM project, Sumatera. The wells will be called MECBM 1, MECBM 2, MECBM 3, MECBM 4, MECBM 5, MECBM 6, MECBM 7.

PHE is a non-operating partner in the Sangatta West CBM Production Sharing Contract in East Kalimantan with a 52 percent participating interest. PHE partners with Ephindo Energy (with a 24 percent indirect interest in the PSC and Dart (24 percent).
