Pertamina import from Libya delayed due to tanker problem

State oil and gas company PT.Pertamina said its crude import from Libya that was originally scheduled to start this month would be delayed due to problems at tanker procurement.

Processing Director Rukmi Hadihartini told reporters on Tuesday that the crude will be shipped in November or early December.

Pertamina signed 20-year crude supply deal with Libyan national oil company NOC in August 2008, under which NOC will supply 1-1.5 million barrels per month of Sarir sweet crude to Pertamina?s Balikpapan and Cilacap refineries. (Bernard)
