Pertamina imports 3 cargoes of LPG

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina is importing 3 cargoes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in anticipation of the rise in demand during Lebaran festival, the Kompas newspaper reported in its Tuesday edition.
Pertamina spolesman Muhammad Harun said on Monday that the three cargoes or 5,100 metrick tons of LPG are expected to cover the shortages arisen from the suspension of supplies from local refineries.
The LPG production dropped drstically recently due to problems at Balikpapan refinery and the Cilacap refinery's production is not yet optimal.(*)
