Pertamina in joint study talks with Hess, Eni

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) is in talks with US firm Hess Corp. and Italy?s Eni SpA to conduct joint study on several prospective blocks in Indonesia.

Pertamina CEO Karen Agustiawan said on Tuesday that the evaluation was underway, but did not disclose detail.

Under the Indonesian system companies interested to acquire a certain exploration block could apply for joint study and then would get first right to win the block that would be put to tender under ?direct offer? scheme. (godang)
