Pertamina in LNG supply talks with Qatar

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) said on Friday it is in talks with LNG producer from Qatar to supply LNG to its proposed floating LNG receiving terminal in West Java and East Java.

CEO Karen Agustiawan told reporters that each terminal would require 1.5-2 MTPA of LNG and LNG from Qatar should be able to compliment supply from domestic producers, she said.

Karen said Bontang and Tangguh LNG plants would be the plants? domestic LNG suppliers.

Karen said that both terminals would be in operations in September 2011.

Pertamina, according to Karen will open beauty contest two procure 2 vessels which will be the part of the floating LNG terminals. (godang/bernard)
