Pertamina in Prabumulih will supply gas to Cilegon

The unit of the state owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina in Prabumulih in South Sumatera will supply gas to Cilegon, West Java in cooperation with state owned gas supplier PGN, Palembang Pos reported on Tuesday.

Pertamina's official Kun Kumeri said in Prabumulih on Monday that the supply facilities would be built later this year and were expected for completion in 2005. He said that PGN would responsible for the construction of the pipeline while Pertamina would handle the gas production.

He said that the project to construct the pipeline network from Prabumulih to Cilegon in West Java would cost about US$47 million.

Kun said that Cilegon needs at least 500 million standard cubic of gas per day but Pertamina will be able only to supply Cilegon with 350 million standard cubic per day. (*)
