Pertamina in search of overseas assets

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina is focusing its search for potential overseas acquisitions on Asia and Africa.

"We're looking at every opportunity. Asia and Africa in particular are very interesting to us," said Director of Investment and Risk Management Afdhal Bahaudin to Petromindo.com.

Meanwhile, Pertamina is also preparing a joint study in Papua New Guinea, as stipulated under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by the two countries recently.
