State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) has been engaged in discussions with three LNG traders on a long-term supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG), according to an industrial source.
The three LNG traders are Gazprom Marketing & Trading Singapore, a subsidiary of Russian firm Gazprom Group; Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Limited (Qatargas); and US oil major ExxonMobil Corporation.
Previously, this portal reported that Pertamina has clinched three deals with BG, Total, and Shell respectively at competitive prices for the supply of LNG at a combined volume of 2.5 mtpa, under 15-year and 20-year contracts starting in 2019.
?Since the volume of LNG imports from the three LNG producers (BG, Total, and Shell) are considered less than enough, Pertamina is talking with other parties, including Exxon, Gazprom, and Qatargas,? the source told Petromindo.com.
