The fuel terminal called New Generation Fuel Terminal Bandung Group is equipped with a modern technology called New Gantry System (NGS), Pertamina said in a statement on Friday.
Thanks to the NGS, the fuel terminal can deliver multi-product service to customers the faster way. The NGS is equipped with the so-called Vapor Discharge, which is a system that can hold back the steam waste emitted during the process of filling fuel into tanker trucks. As such, the steam waste will not be released into open air.
The fuel terminal serves consumers in Bandung mayoralty, Bandung regency, Sumedang regency, Garut regency, Bandung Barat regency, Cimahi mayoralty, Purwakarta regency and Cianjur regency --- all these areas are in West Java.
The fuel terminal, better known as TBBM Bandung Group-Ujung Barung, started operation on March 21, 1987 on 23.37 ha of lands, 667 meters above sea level. It receives fuel through pipeline from Lomanis fuel terminal. It resumed operation on Sept. 18, 2014 after being upgraded.
