State oil, gas company  PT Pertamina (Persero) has integrated its downstream businesses into a single subholding entity, effective February 1, 2026.

The integration merges PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, and the downstream business segment of PT Pertamina International Shipping into one downstream subholding, with Pertamina Patra Niaga designated as the surviving entity.

Pertamina said the integration was carried out following internal evaluations and benchmarking against comparable international oil companies.

The company said the consolidation is intended to integrate refining, distribution, logistics, and marketing activities across the downstream value chain, supporting more reliable energy availability, wider access, product suitability, competitive pricing, and development of lower-carbon fuel portfolios.

Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri said the integration is aimed at improving operational efficiency, strengthening supply certainty, and enhancing competitiveness.

Pertamina said the integration supports its commitment to energy self-sufficiency and its target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2060, while applying environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles across its operations.
