State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has launched the drilling guideline, called Pertamina Drilling Way (PDW), to synchronize the way drillings are carried out by all of its subsidiaries operating in exploration and production activities.
President Director Karen Agustiawan said during the launch, which took place last Friday, that the guideline will standardize drilling activities. ?We have set the 2025 production target, which is at 2.2 million barrels of oil equivalent. That required plenty of drillings. And we?re going to that in a standardized way.?
Upstream Director M. Husen said the book is expected to eventually help drilling performance of Pertamina units as it will pave the way for transfer of know-how among subsidiaries.
?The PDW book highlights a standarized approach in solving key issues in relation with drillings.?
