Pertamina killing blowout in TLJ 25 INF

PT Pertamina EP Aset 2 Field Prabumulih has been in a process of trying to kill a well blowout at the drilling well of Talang Jimar (TLJ)-25 in Prabumulih, South Sumatera, since Monday (1st April 2013).

The killing of well blowout at the TLJ-25 INF is being implemented by injecting mud at a volume of three times bigger than the well volume or between 1000 and 12.000 barrels with an average of 24 barrels per minute.

Pertamina EP?s Team of Emergency Control (OPKD), supported by local administration, has conducted an evacuation of local people to a safe location and provided all necessary supportive services for the well blowout killing expected to proceed for five days.

?Currently, we?re focusing on our efforts to tackle the problem of the blowout. We hope we can solve it as soon as possible. Our internal team is also investigating the cause of the blowout,? Agus Amperianto, Public Relations Manager of Pertamina EP, said in Jakarta on Monday.
