Pertamina launches new lubricant

After introducing a lubricant for biodiesel passenger vehicles, PT Pertamina Lubricants is launching a new variant of its Meditran SX Bio for commercial passengers such as bus and truck as well industrial machines.
The new variant was launched during ?The 4th Indonesia International Bus, Truck, and Components Exhibition 2016? in Kemayoran expo ground in Jakarta from March 29 through April 1, the firm said in a statement on Wednesday.
The SAE 15W-40 lubricant is produced for vehicles and industrial engines using B5-B50 biodiesel as fuel.
The firm said the lubricant demonstrated superior performance during tests and is able to extend the lifetime of engines and lubricant use as well as protect engines against contamination caused by biodiesel.
