Pertamina launches new oil tanker

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina had on December 2 launched a new crude oil tanker called Panderman in a ceremony held at a shipyard facility owned by PT Daya Radar Utama.

Pertamina Senior Vice President for Shipping Mulyono said in a speech that the 17,500 LTDW-type tanker forms part of eight oil tankers being developed at domestic shipyards in a pilot project to prove that Indonesia?s maritime industry has the capacity to build tankers that meet world class standard and the Oil Major requirement.
