Pertamina launches new Pertamax Turbo gasoline product

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has officially launched a new high-octane gasoline product called Pertamax Turbo on the sidelines of the Lamborghini Blancpain Supertrofeo car racing series in Belgium on July 29.

Pertamina Vice President for Corporate Communication Wianda Pusponegoro said in a statement Saturday that the launching of Pertamax Turbo forms part of a cooperation with Lamborghini as Pertamina?s technical advisor in the development of the gasoline product.

Wianda said that Pertamax Turbo has a research octane number (RON) of 98, higher than Pertamax Plus RON 95, and is complemented with an ignition boost formula.

Pertamina said that Pertamax Turbo has so far been used in four racing events including Monza-Italy, Silverstone ? UK, Paul Richard-France, and Spa Francorchamps - Belgium.

Wianda said that Pertamax Turbo will soon be launched in the Indonesian market.

Elsewhere, Pertamina said Sunday that it maintained the retail price of its Pertamax, Pertamax Plus, Pertamax Dex and Pertalite. The company, however, said that it has lowered by Rp 300 per liter the price of Dexlite product to Rp 6,450 per liter starting August 1.
