Pertamina learns about micro LNG plant to China

PT Pertamina is sending a team to China to carry out a research and development for mini/micro LNG plant as the state owned oil and gas company plans to develop small scale LNG plant of 5 to 20 mmscfd capacity here.

?We want to build the mini/micro LNG, between 5 to 20 mmscfd, in the new future. We do not know yet how many. The focus of the study to China is to learn about the design,? VP for Gas and Engineering Daniel Purba told petromindo.com.

The Pertamina team is paying a visit to Ningxia Hanas Ltd that operates a number of natural gas projects including LNG plant in Yinchuan.

Daniel stressed that the study would for now focus on the design, and not yet to actual development method.
